Jayce Alexander Alonzo was born on June 20, 2008, in Junction City Kansas, and passed away on January 2, 2026, doing what he loved most—riding his motorcycle alongside his family. He was a beloved son, brother, and friend whose life was marked by faith, kindness, and a joy that radiated to everyone around him.

Jayce had a deep faith and a close relationship with God that guided the way he lived and loved. His smile could light up any space, and his presence alone made people feel at ease. He truly never met a stranger and had the gift of gab—always ready with a story, a laugh, or a listening ear.

Jayce loved the outdoors and felt most at peace there. He especially cherished hunting with his friends and family, making memories that will be treasured forever. Of all the things he loved, nothing compared to going on motorcycle rides with his family—those moments brought him pure joy and meant everything to him.

He was the most kind and caring soul, always making time for others no matter what. Jayce was the life and light of many people’s lives, and his absence will create an immeasurable void. Through his health battles, he never became discouraged. He faced every challenge with strength, grace, and a smile. You would never know if he was having a bad day, because he chose joy every time.

Jayce loved making others smile and laugh and would do just about anything to bring happiness to those around him—especially if it involved a $10 challenge. His laughter, his faith, and his love for people will forever live on in the hearts of those who knew him.

Jayce is survived by his mother, Kimberly (James) Regalado; his father, Joseph (Marcie) Alonzo; his brother, Joey Alonzo; and his step-siblings, Jaymie and JW Regalado. He is also survived by many loving grandparents, aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.

Jayce’s legacy is one of faith, resilience, love, and light. He will be deeply missed and forever remembered by all who were blessed to know him.

A Celebration of Life for Jayce will be 11 am, Monday, January 12, 2026, at the JCNaz Church with Pastor Mark Hatcher officiating, visitation will be from 4 pm to 7pm, Sunday, January 11, 2026, at the Johnson and Mass-Hinitt Funeral Home.  A reception for the family and friends will follow the services at The Hideaway, 1301 W. 8th Street, Junction City, KS

Cremation will take place following the services.  Memorial contributions can be given in Jayce's name to Children's Mercy, Attn: Dept of Philanthropy, c/o Oncology, 2401 Gillham Road, Kansas City, MO 64108 or online at childrensmercy.org.
