Obituary of Jayna Elizabeth Dozier

With a heavy heart we share that Jayna Elizabeth Birtcher passed away peacefully on Wednesday, August 13 th, 2025.

Jayna was born April, 17, 1960, to Bill and Beverly Birtcher and grew up in Tiffin graduating from Clear Creek High School. She grew up with her 3 siblings (Bill Jr, Brad & Josie) in the big white house just behind the Club 88.

Jayna loved to travel and meet unique people of all backgrounds. Her favorite place was the redwood forest in Oregon with the beautiful giant sequoia trees and the Rocky Mountains outside of Manitou Springs, Colorado.

Jayna was a light in the lives of her friends and her time here was marked by love and her faith in God. She had a great ability to see value in everyone, regardless of their status in life. She adored her family and her cat, JoJo – who was graciously adopted by a neighbor in her apartment building.

Jayna was preceded in death by her father, Joseph (Bill) William Birtcher Sr. her mother, Beverly Birtcher; her 2 brothers, Joseph William Birtcher, Jr. and Bradley Birtcher; and nephew, Johnny Walker.

She is survived by son, Alexander (Jill) Niswander and grandchildren Sarah (27), Asa (17), Stanton (14) and Isaac (13); her daughter, Jaycianna (Randy) Ashley and grandchildren Chaseton (26), Jinnacy (24) and Aiden (22); her sister Josanna (Josie) (Birtcher) (David) Walker and their children, Natalie (Joel) Dejardin, Kyle (Melanie) Potter, and Kelly O'Brien (and their families).

She is also survived by spouse of Joseph William Birtcher, Sr.; Barbara Birtcher. Surviving children of Joseph William Birtcher, Jr.: Dan and Shannon (and families). Surviving children of Brad Birtcher,: Nick, Bob, and Amber (and families).

We would like to share a special thank you to her kind and generous friends Michelle Nichols, Meta Crow & Leroy Albaugh, as well as the local assistance programs for food and Capital House, all organizations and people who were a blessing Jayna and our family.

Services celebrating Jayna's life will be held at 11am Saturday, September 6, 2025, at Grace United Methodist Church in Tiffi
