Jayne Almon Obituary
Hospice House. She was born on May 4, 1963, in Strawberry Point, Iowa, the daughter of
Francise and Maxine Parks Hoover. She attended Oskaloosa High School graduating with the
Class of 1981. Jayne then furthered her education at Trevecca Nazarene and Mid America
Nazarene University. On August 10, 1985, she was united in marriage to Guy Almon in
Oskaloosa.
Jayne was a homemaker for 20 years before working as an Alaskan Real Estate agent Jayne
was known for having a love for the color purple. She enjoyed spending time with her nieces
and nephews and the Watt's family. Hugs and laughter were her gift to everyone. She also
enjoyed long phone conversations. She was a member of the Gateway Church of the Nazarene.
She is survived by her husband, Guy Almon of Oskaloosa; and two sisters, Joyce (Bruce)
White of Oskaloosa and Jan (Cyril) McKay of Fremont.
Jayne was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Jeff Hoover
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, October 25, 2025 at 10:00 a.m. at the Gateway
Church of the Nazarene in Oskaloosa with pastor Andy Watts officiating. Burial will follow
services at the Forest Cemetery in Oskaloosa. The Bates Funeral Chapel is in charge of
arrangements. Visitation will be held on Friday, October 24, at the Gateway Church of the
Nazarene beginning after 12 p.m. with Jayne's family present from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. to
greet relatives and friends.
The family asks to please wear purple, pink or bright colors to the funeral service in honor of
Jayne.
