Jayne Lundy Paparella, 71, of Akron, Ohio, passed away on Nov. 12, 2025 with family by her side. Jayne was born in Wilmington, Ohio, on April 6, 1954.
Jayne served as a teacher in an Akron Christian school, touching countless young lives with her kindness, patience and unwavering faith. Her gentle spirit and steady guidance made her a beloved mentor to students and colleagues alike.
Jayne later became a caregiver for the elderly, offering the same compassion, patience, and devotion that defined her life. She found purpose in serving others and brought comfort, dignity, and warmth to those in her care.
Jayne is survived by her husband, Frank Paparella; her daughter, Francesca (Marcus) Richardson; and her granddaughter, Elodia Richardson. She is also survived by her five siblings—Ken (Jackie) Lundy, Joyce (Jim) Atley, Joan (dec. Keith) Pitzer, Kyle (Parriett) Lundy, and Jan (William) Brooks—as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family members. She was preceded in death by her parents, Homer and Suzanne (South) Lundy.
A memorial service will be held at First Apostolic Church of Tallmadge, 199 South Ave., Tallmadge, Ohio 44278, on Dec. 11, 2025, at 6 p.m.
Jayne will be dearly missed and lovingly remembered for her faith, generosity, and the gentle kindness she shared with everyone fortunate enough to know her.
