JC Franks, age 92, went to be with the Lord on Friday, February 20, 2026 in Savannah, Tennessee. He was born in Hardin County on April 1, 1933, the son of the late Clyde and Bertha Franks. On June 9, 1954, he was united in marriage to Mattie Wilson, who preceded him in death.
JC worked as B&R Lumber Company in Savannah, Tennessee and farmed for several years before he gave it all up and retired.
JC is survived by his children, Jerry Franks and his wife Brenda, Judy Kelly, Billy Franks and his wife Debbie, and Jana Davis and her husband Ronald; grandson that JC helped raise, John Franks and his wife Christina; 11 grandchildren; and 25 great grandchildren.
In addition to his wife and parents, JC was preceded in death by his son, Kenneth Franks; daughter in law, Rhonda Franks; son in law, Phillip Kelly; 2 brothers; and 3 sisters.
