Jean M. Aikman
Jean M. (Masciantonio) Aikman, 88, Formerly of Springfield Delaware County, PA passed away Monday, November 25, 2024.
Jean was born in Chestnut Hill, Pa on June 23, 1936, and raised in Conshohocken, the daughter of the late Michael A. and the late Agnes (Pacinelli) Masciantonio.
She was a loving mother and the wife of the Late Adrian M. Aikman, III. Jean volunteered at her parish church Holy Cross in Springfield, Pa. and also volunteered for many years in the gift shop at Delaware County Hospital in Upper Darby, Pa. She was also a Girl Scout troop leader for several years. She enjoyed traveling.
Some of Jean's passions were cooking and baking for her family and loved ones. She loved to travel, play cards with neighborhood friends and loved family adventures like camping, beach vacations, rafting, the mountains and lake.
Survivors include, Daughter Lynda Messantonio (Vincent) of Plymouth Meeting, Pa, Daughter Barbara Aikman-Vahey (Kenneth Lundberg) of Millsboro, DE, Son Adrian "Bud" Aikman IV of Downingtown, Pa, Daughter Karen Sardella (John) of Ocean City, NJ, Sister Edith McGarrity of Conshohocken, Pa, also survived by her Grandchildren Daniel Messantonio, Jaclyn McGovern, Krista Vahey, Karley Vahey, Shane Aikman, Anthony Sardella and Aubrey Sardella, and Great Grandchildren Christian, Avery, Reese and Olivia.
Along with her husband and parents she was preceded in death by 2 brothers Gerald W. Masciantonio and John M. Masciantonio.
Her Memorial Mass will be held Friday, November 29, 2024 at 10:30 AM from St. Matthew's RC Church, 219 Fayette Street, Conshohocken, PA.
Friends may call on Friday, November 29, 2024 from 9:30 AM to 10:15 AM at the church.
Interment will follow in Calvary Cemetery, West Conshohocken, Pa.
Memorial Contributions may be made in her memory to: American Heart Association, PO Box 417005, Boston, MA 02241-7005.
