Jean Marie Anderson passed away on December 22, 2023 at the age of 95 in Virginia Beach, VA. She was born on October 20, 1928 in Parkersburg, WV. She was preceded in death by her two older brothers Robert and Charles Devereaux.
Jean graduated from the Cincinnati Conservatory of Music where she majored in voice, and performed in many musical productions before marrying her highschool sweetheart, Navy Pilot, Richard Anderson. While raising their four children James, Robert, Virginia and Linda, she lived the challenging life of a military wife and mother with joy and grace. She participated in musical programs with the Navy choir as well as being choir director at Star of the Sea, St. Nicholas and Francis Asbury.
Jean is preceded in death by her daughter Linda. She leaves to cherish her beautiful memory her husband, the love of her life, Richard Anderson, and three of her children James (Janice), Robert (Susan) and Virginia (Michael), as well as seven grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. Her happy and positive spirit will be with us forever.
