Jean Barts Obituary
Jean P. Barts, 79, of Graham, NC, passed away on September 20, 2025. She was born November 26, 1945, in Roxboro NC, to the late Ernest Powell and Hazel T. Bowman.
Jean was a graduate of Southern Alamance High School and worked as a bus driver for the Alamance-Burlington School System for 15 years. She enjoyed cruising with friends, spending time with family, and especially treasured her granddaughter, Stephanie, whom she loved more than anything, along with her two sons.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Roger Barts; her parents; sister, Faye Faucette; and brother, Ronnie Bowman. Survivors include her sons, Dale Barts and Brian Barts; granddaughter, Stephanie Barts Smith (Cody); siblings, Wallace Talley (MaryAnn), Becky Madren, and Thresia Loy (Don); special friend, Andrew Gentry; and many nieces and nephews.
A private celebration of life for family and close friends will be held Friday September, 26th from 4–7 p.m at Jeans home.
