Thank you Mrs Blakesly. You were the best teacher. In a school conference you told me my son, Casey, is a handful but do not stifle him as he will become something one day and he is a PA and we both remember you. God Bless you for touching so many lives.

One of the few elementary school teachers I remember. She was a very nice lady and a good teacher. Thoughts and prayers to family and friends.

To Mrs. Blakesley´ family and friends. Mrs. Blakesley was my 2nd grade teacher in 1957 at Hiram W. Dodd Elementary School. She was a wonderful teacher who always took her time to make sure everyone was up to date on her daily lessons. As time went by we lost contact. In 1968, I started working at Yocco´s at the fair. Across the midway from us was the Alton Park Clam Stand. It took a while but I recognized Mrs. Blakesley behind the stand. Over the next years we rekindled our friendship. Her husband Forrest was in charge of the stand. Over the years it became more difficult for them to get volunteers and Forrest´s health began to decline. One year the stand disappeared. For the remaining years that Yocco´s had a fair stand, the I always remembered Forrest and Jean. I will never forget those days. RIP Jean.
