Margaret J. Knoebel

Margaret J. "Peggy" Knoebel, 91, of Clarks Summit, passed away Saturday, November 30, 2024. She was the wife of the late Jerome J. Knoebel, Jr. Born in Pittsburgh, she was the daughter of the late Katherine (McKnight) and Sullivan Hayes. She worked as a bookkeeper for Acker Drill Company in Scranton. Peggy was a member of Our Lady of Snows Catholic Church in Clarks Summit. She also was an active member of Scranton Canoe Club where she enjoyed playing golf and bridge with her friends. She was especially proud of her two holes in one several years apart, on the same course and the same hole. Peggy could be counted on to always be kind and thoughtful, and was a much beloved mother, grandmother and friend.
Survivors: sons, John (Nancy), Bethlehem and Jim (Karen), Conshohocken; grandchildren, Scott (Jackie) Knoebel, Michelle (Barry) Snyder, Jennifer (Patrick) Suber, Justin (Elizabeth) Knoebel; step-granddaughter, Becky (Mikey) Snyder and ten great grandchildren. Peggy was preceded in death by her brothers Chuck Hayes and Jim Hayes.
