Eugene R. Laino, 64, of Phillipsburg, NJ, formerly of Brooklyn, NY, passed away Tuesday, November 26, 2024, in the L.V. Hospital. Born in Brooklyn, he was a son of Josephine (LoForte) Laino of Brooklyn, NY and the late Eugene Laino. Gene worked as a Custodial Engineer and fireman for the Department of Education in New York for most of his career. Later he worked as a concierge and building manager on Roosevelt Island, NY. Gene was a man of many talents, and had a great sense of humor. He loved softball and golf and was a huge New York Mets and New York Giants fan. Eugene was a third-degree knight with the Knights of Columbus.
Survivors: Daughters: Gina M. Laino of Brooklyn, NY, Sophia H. Laino of Philadelphia, PA; Sisters: Roseann Ingordo of Kutztown, Jennie Mulhern and her husband Paul of Allentown; Brother: Vincent Laino and his wife Janet of Chester, NY. Gene is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Services: There will be a viewing/visitation from 1 – 5 pm on Saturday, November 30, 2024, Stephens Funeral Home, Inc., 274 N. Krocks Road, Allentown PA 18106, with a funeral ceremony at 4:00 pm. .
