Jean Leslie Brown passed away peacefully in her sleep at home on November 19, 2025 at the age of 75. Jean was born on February 18, 1950 daughter of Vincent and Josephine Shewell.

Jean was known for her love of cooking-especially her unforgettable chocolate cake with marshmallow icing and her famous spaghetti sauce. She enjoyed spending peaceful hours fishing from her boat, and she could shop with enthusiasm that never seemed to fade. Jean had an impressive collection of designer shoes and closets filled with elegant clothing. She took great pride in her appearance, always keeping her hair beautifully colored, her nails perfectly polished, and wearing a stylish outfit wherever she went.

Jean is survived by her loving husband of 48 years, Raymond "Ray" Brown; her son, Todd (Tana) Volmert; two sisters, Jeri (Jerry) Kramp and Judy (Tom) McCarter; grandchildren, Alisha and Shelby; nieces and nephews, Tommy and Craig McCarter and Jori Madrigal; and her cat companions, Max and Molly; She is preceded in death by her father, Vincent Duaine Shewell and mother, Josephine Kathryn (Potoka) Shewell.
