Jean Ann Chynoweth

Jean Ann Chynoweth, age 70, passed away on June 5th. Born August 11, 1953 in Richmond, Texas, Jean (Aunt Jeanie) graduated from Lamar High School in 1971. Later, she attended Southwest Texas State University (don't let her catch you calling it Texas State), graduating in 1975 and went on to have a long career with the IRS. It was at SWTSU and the IRS that she met some of her closest and lifelong friends. She enjoyed taking cruises, animals (especially cats), and spending time with friends. Jean will be remembered for a relentless attitude of telling it like it is. Her colorful language and dry humor earned her a well-loved reputation amongst her friends and perhaps gave an ulcer or two to those who didn't want to hear it. It won't be the same not having Jean around blurting out opinions that "you were all thinking!" We love and miss you, Aunt Jeanie!
Jean is survived by her brother Michael, sister-in-law Cathy, nephew Brett, niece Tiffany and grandnephew Wyatt, as well as by her chosen family Dorcas, Ronnah & Tom.
She was preceded in death by her parents Melvin and Doris.
Visitation will be from 5 to 7 pm on Wednesday June 12 at Davis-Greenlawn Funeral Home in Rosenberg, Texas.
The burial will be a private service at a later time and date. In lieu of flowers, please consider donating to an animal rescue organization in Jean's name.
