DEHNKE, Jean. October 11, 2024. Age 81. Beloved mother of Rochelle (Matthew) Abel. Proud and adored grandmother of Matthew Jr., Kevin (Jacqueline), Nicole, and Jonathon. Dear sister of Dennis (Ronda) Bruns. She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 17 years, Richard Dehnke.
Jean was born and raised in St Charles, Missouri and relocated to Michigan in 1975. She is an alumna of Valparaiso, Washington, and Oakland Universities. Jean spent her career in healthcare, first as a physical therapist and then as a registered nurse. She always enjoyed reading and was an avid fan of the New York Times Crossword puzzles. Jean will be missed by her family and friends.
Visitation Friday from 4-8pm at Wujek - Calcaterra & Sons Inc., (Shelby) 54880 Van Dyke at 25 Mile Rd. Funeral Saturday from 10:30am until time of 11am Service at Our Redeemer Lutheran Church, 8600 27 Mile Rd., Washington, 48094. Memorial contributions are appreciated to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital. Interment, Great Lakes National Cemetery.
