In accordance with Jean's wishes, cremation rites will take place. A private family graveside service and interment will be held at Noffsinger Cemetery, Mulberry Grove. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Plain Truth Ministries; a ministry in which Jean supported or Noffsinger Cemetery. Online condolences can be expressed at www.hohltandfilefh.com
Jean Eleanor Rohde was born on July 25, 1932 in Rosewood Heights, IL, the daughter of Otto and Florence Eva (Baldwin) Rohde. She married John Edward Dunn on January 01, 1950, at his parents' home. Together, they celebrated 62 years of marriage and raised four children before his passing on April 27, 2012. Jean was a former certified nursing assistant and a homemaker; taking care of the family home and their four children.
Mrs. Dunn is survived by her daughter, Linda and husband Victor Keller of Shobonier; son, Robert Dunn and wife Sandra of Highland; son, David Dunn of Vandalia; sister, Mary Weiss of Greenville; grandchildren, Lance, Shane, Karla, Jarred, Brett, Jennifer, Jessica, Candice, Nathaniel, and Joshua; great-grandchildren, Dalton, Gabriel, Deryck, Victoria, Karly, Samantha, Easton, Annaliese, Charles, Emily, Bowie, Cash, Corey, and Ruby; and a great-great-grandson, Atlas.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; son, Michael Edward Dunn; brother, John Jacob Rohde; and granddaughter Brandy Lee Dunn.
