Obituary of Jean N. Eddis
Jean N. Eddis, (nee Colangelo), age 84, of West Berlin, formerly of South Second Street in Camden and Third Avenue in Blackwood Terrace, passed away peacefully at home on May 28, 2023.
Jean worked for Blue Cross and Blue Shield for many years before retiring. She was very involved in her church and a member of the Third Order Dominicans. She enjoyed going to the beaches of Ocean City with her family, where she and her husband had a summer home. In her younger years, she loved going to Seaside Heights with her parents and siblings. Throughout her life, Jean had a great appreciation for the beauty of nature and all of God's creation. Her vibrancy for life and probity in all her relationships were hallmarks of her character that leave a cherished legacy with those she encountered.
Beloved wife of Thomas W. Eddis. Devoted mother of Lisa J. Gillespie (Jim), William J. Eddis (Fran), and Jeanie M. Eddis. Dear sister of Rose Colangelo, Eleanor Jones, Adeline Cilurso, Augusta Pawluczyk and Esther Gallucci. Loving sister-in-law of Nancy Dalessio. Adoring grandmother of Devon J. Eddis, Erin Gillespie, Thomas Gillespie, Sarah Gillespie and Halle Eddis. She is also survived by many loving nieces, nephews, extended family and dear friends.
Relatives and friends are invited to her viewing on Monday, June 5th from 10:00AM-11:30AM at Saint Simon Stock Parish, 178 W. White Horse Pike, Berlin, NJ. Mass of Christian Burial will begin at 11:30AM. Interment to follow in Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Berlin, NJ. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made in Jean's memory to St. Vincent de Paul Society, 157 W.
