Gerald William Eddis, known affectionately as Jerry, passed away on June 29, 2024, at the age of 83 in Sarasota, Florida. Born on February 19, 1941, in Chester, PA, Jerry led a life marked by dedication to his family, a successful career, and service to his country.

Jerry graduated from St. James in 1959, setting the stage for a life of achievement. He honorably served in the Air Force, where he forged lifelong friendships and developed a discipline that would benefit him in his civilian life. After his military service, Jerry embarked on a remarkable career, eventually becoming the president of Wire Pro, a leading company in the connector and cable assembly industry. Under his leadership, Wire Pro thrived and became a hallmark of innovation in its field.

Outside of his professional endeavors, Jerry was an avid golfer, a passion that allowed him to connect with friends and relax, enjoying many sunny days on the greens.

Jerry is survived by a loving family, including his wife, Jackie Eddis; children, Jerry Eddis (Trish), Rachelle Eddis, Deanne Foth (Tim), Dawn Mahalik (Matt), and Michael Eddis; and cherished grandchildren, Amanda Foth, Lauren Daddezio, Steven Foth, Michaela Eddis, Jacob Foth, Amber Daddezio, Sophia Eddis, Julianna Eddis, and James Foth. He also leaves behind his sisters, Marie Johonnett (Bobby), Irene Tillman (John), Diane Eddis, Sheila Shaw (Artie); and brothers, Robert and Terry Eddis. His friends, including John Winfree (Margot), will remember his loyalty and friendship.

On behalf of the St. James High School Alumni Assocation and his 1959 classmates, I extend our deepest sympathies and prayers on your loss. On May 4, 2025, the Alumni Association will remember Jerry at their annual Memorial Mass at St. Madeline's Church in Ridley Park. May he rest in peace!
In 1955/56, Jerry was a student in my freshman English class.

I remember the many times we drove around Delaware County in the green Hudson. We'd pull into a gas station and ask for 83 cents worth of gas and then "be sure to drain the hose." We had no money but lots of fun. Jerry was an expert driver and always got us home safely. Tom Corwin
