Jean Farley, 94, lifelong resident of Garrettsville, went home to her Lord and Savior Monday, May 20, 2024. She was born in Garrettsville on May 22, 1929, to the late Howard E. and Zora M. (Kimpton) Russell.
She was a kind, generous, and loving lady. Jean and Bob, her husband of 72 years, were familiar sites at not only their girls’ school events, but also their grandchildren’s; pride in the family was evident. She was adventurous up to her final days, most recently traveling in February to California to visit a grandson and his family. Jean loved sewing, gardening, and was still trying new recipes and cooking for others up until a few weeks ago. She never met a stranger, and will forever be missed by those who knew and loved her.
Jean will be deeply missed by her daughter, Denise (Mark) Ellerhorst; grandchildren, Andy (Zaia) Ellerhorst, Dr. Jeffrey (Lydia) Ellerhorst, Max (Karman) Ellerhorst, Dr. Alex (Amie) Ellerhorst, Caitlin (Jacob) Lawless, Paige Everett, and Dr. Scott Everett; 13 great grandchildren; brother, Robert Russell, and many nieces, nephews, and dear friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Robert J. “Bob” Farley; daughters, Sharon Farley and Sally Everett; siblings, Edward Russell, Howard Russell, Wanda Williams, Gladys McIntyre, and Tom Russell.
Please join the family for a memorial visitation Saturday, May 25, 2024, 10:00 a.m. - 11:00 a.m., at the Garrettsville United Methodist Church, 8223 Park Ave., Garrettsville, OH 44231.
