Jean was born in Reidsville to James Hall and Allene Parker Rand. She worked as a nurse and supported her husband Bobby and their family as his U.S. Navy career took them across the country.
A lover of people, art, and birds, Jean enjoyed watching cooking and travel shows and playing board games with her daughter Stacy. She cherished her Christian faith. Though modest by nature, Jean’s selfless love and generosity left a lasting impact on all who knew her. She devoted herself to the well-being of her loved ones, always placing others before herself. She will be deeply missed.
Jean is survived by her children Robert Fowlkes, Lori Griffin, Stacy Fowlkes, and Kim Denny; grandsons Kevin and Hayden Griffin; and her sister Carolyn Roberts.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Bobby Fowlkes; brother Cecil Rand; and son-in-laws Russell Griffin and Gary Denny.
