Jean Gayle Gaetano

Jean Gayle Gaetano, 88 of Endwell, NY, passed away peacefully at her home on November 20, 2025. She was born on August 21, 1937, to the late John and Jean Smith. She attended Scranton Technical High School and then began a career in Washington, DC. She later worked in medical records at local hospitals. Known for her warmth, dedication, and kindness. Gayle enriched the lives of those around her through family, friendship, and community. She loved her family, extended family, the gang at Jonathan's, and the ski crew at Elk Mountain. She was a second mother to many of the kids on Verna Drive and touched many lives in the best way.

Gayle is survived by her husband of 64 years, Edward J. Gaetano and sons Edward J. Gaetano, Jr., Gregory Gaetano (Jill), Gary Gaetano (Kim); three grandchildren Amelia, Gavin and Lily. Besides her parents she was predeceased by brothers, Jackie Smith and Tim J. Smith.

A Funeral Mass will be held Tuesday November 25 th at 11:00 AM at the Church of the Holy Family 3600 Phyllis St. Endwell, NY. The family will receive friends at the church on Tuesday from 10:00 AM until time of service at 11:00 AM. Burial will be at the convenience of the family.
