Jean Ann Groblewski, age 80, peacefully passed away on December 9, 2024 with her family by her side. Jean was born on February 14, 1944, in Milwaukee, WI to Kenneth and Evelyn Thessin (nee Buettner).
A passionate cook and baker, Jean found joy in creating meals and treats for her family and friends. In the summer, she delighted in tending to her flowers, nurturing her garden with the same love she gave to her family. Jean was also an avid football fan, with a special fondness for the Green Bay Packers, whose games she enjoyed watching with family and friends.
Jean is survived by her son, William "Billy" (Lisa); grandma to JD (Andrea) and Jordann Burd; great-grandma to Harper Burd; brother Bill Thessin; niece Tracy and nephew Craig.
Jean is preceded in death by her husband of 57 years, Ken and her parents.
The family would like to extend their heartfelt gratitude to Brighton Hospice and CNA Asia for their compassion and support during Jean's final days. Your kindness meant the world to us.
The family kindly requests donations to the American Heart Association.
In honoring Jean's life and spirit, a celebration of Jean and her late husband, Ken, is being planned and will be announced at a later date.
