Jean A. Gwozdz, formerly Jean A. Munn, passed away peacefully on January 31, 2026, at the age of 79.
Jean was born on September 30, 1946, in Grand Rapids, Ohio, and later resided in Newport, North Carolina.
Jean lived a life centered on love, family, and quiet strength. A devoted mother and grandmother, she was known for her kind heart, resilience, and the unconditional love she shared with those around her. She found joy in simple pleasures and especially loved playing bingo, a pastime that brought her happiness and many cherished moments.
She is survived by her sons, Dennis Gwozdz and Mark Gwozdz; her daughter-in-law, Larissa Gwozdz; her loving grandchildren, Morgan Gwozdz, Michael Gwozdz, Mark Gwozdz; and other family members who will forever cherish her memory.
Jean will be remembered for her warmth, her devotion to family, and the love she gave throughout her life. She was deeply loved and will be greatly missed.
There will be no services at this time. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Jean’s memory to the Carteret County Humane Society.
