Jean Hayes Obituary
at Welcome Nursing Home, Oberlin.
Born in Cleveland, she had resided in Oberlin for the past 5 years. She had previously
lived in Wellington, Sheffield Village and North Ridgeville.
She had worked for North Ridgeville City School for 23 years as a custodian retiring in
1999.
Jean was a past member of the N. Ridgeville Lions Club, enjoyed swimming, collecting
Indian Artifacts and volunteering with the Salvation Army in her younger years.
Survivors include her daughter Elizabeth Hayes of Amherst, sons John of Defiance,
Archie of N. Ridgeville and Edward of Rapid City, SD, 10 grandchildren and many great
grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents John and June Miller, brothers, John and
Michael Miller and Rudy Tonnies, sisters Mary Ann Mihna and Laura Walker.
The family will receive friends Wednesday December 10 from 5 PM until time of service
at 6 PM at Bogner Family Funeral Home 36625 Center Ridge Road North Ridgeville.
Rev. Alan Jenkins will officiate. Private burial will take place in Resthaven Memory
Gardens, Avon.
Memorial contributions are suggested to the Kidney Foundation of Ohio www.kfohio.org
