Jean Malkiewicz

Jeannie Michelle Malkiewicz, wife of Barry Heyman, daughter of Richard and Laverne, and sister of Lori Adkins, passed away Friday morning, May 17, 2024 at age 65 from cancer. Jeannie is the beloved wife of Barry Heyman; loving step-mom of Wendy Zanarotti, Stacey Knoppel (and her husband David), and Brian Heyman (and his wife Consuelo); cherished sister of the late Lori Adkins (and her husband George); caring grandmother of Max Zanarotti, Joe Heyman, James Heyman, Joshua Knoppel, and Madison Knoppel. She is also survived by the Malkiewicz family of Buffalo, her beloved pets Reggie and Monty, and many other loving family and friends.

Jeannie spent 20 years in the mailing and printing industries as a sales consultant. Much of her career was direct sales for the US government printing office, the state of Maryland, the US Social Security agency in Woodlawn and local area small businesses. Jeannie's expertise in direct marketing contributed to the success of the companies that she worked for in the Baltimore Washington Region.

Jeannie and Barry were married October 2, 1999. They have lived in Federal Hill since this time. Jeannie, contributed to Federal Hill through being the editor for the Federal Hill Newspaper "The Hillsider" and managing the Facebook page. Additionally, she volunteered her time to several election campaigns, churches and BARCS. Jeannie donated her corneas upon her death.

Councilman Eric Costello praised Jeannie for being a positive force in the Federal Community.

Family and friends may gather at Ambrose Funeral Home, 1328 Sulphur Spring Rd. Halethorpe, MD 21227 for a visitation on Wednesday, May 22 from 12:00pm-2:00pm. A Funeral Service will begin at 2:00pm. Interment will immediately follow at United Hebrew Cemetery.
