Jean Norman Keyes

Jean Norman Keyes, a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, October 02, 2024, at Transylvania Regional Hospital in Brevard, North Carolina. Born on July 22, 1934, in Buncombe County, North Carolina, she graced this world with her presence for 90 remarkable years.
A graduate of Woodfin High School, Jean was a beacon of wisdom and warmth to all who knew her. She spent her professional years working at Eaton Corp., from which she retired, leaving behind a legacy of dedication and excellence.
Jean lived a life rich in love and adventure. Her greatest joy was spending quality time with her cherished grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was known for her infectious spirit and her zest for life, often seen exploring new places and sharing beautiful memories with those she loved.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Lorenzo and Anna Banks; her first husband, Bill Norman, the father of her children; and six siblings.
Jean leaves behind a loving family, her devoted husband, Jack Keyes; her two sons, Ronnie Norman, and Joe Norman (Cindy); her three grandchildren, Heather N. Anderson (Lane), Amber N. Warner (Phil), and Jeff K. Norman (Alyssa); and six precious great-grandchildren, Justin, Easton, Emily, Sutton, McKenna, and Lawson.
Her family and friends will gather to celebrate her life on Thursday, October 10, 2024, at 2:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Shuler Funeral Home, with Pastor Matt Metzger officiating. Interment will follow at Shepherd Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 1:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m., one hour prior to the service, at the funeral home.
