Jean Kobs Obituary
In Jean's younger years she worked for Treasure Island and JCPenny. She was a lifelong member of Good Shepherd Church of Appleton. She loved traveling and looked forward to time spent with her family. Jean was a tremendous baker and an excellent cook. Her stuffing is legendary! She enjoyed playing cards, crocheting afghans - some even for baptisms for the church. Sweets could always be found around her; she loved her sweets and loved to share them as well. She cherished the time spent with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Along with her parents, preceding her in death is her son, David Kobs, and her beloved schnauzers: Poco, Smokey, KC, Rosie and Kobe.
Left to mourn her passing and cherish their memories are her children, Steven Kobs and Kathryn (Daniel) Hawley, grandchildren; Tina (Kyle Boswell) Kobs, Chad (Ashley) Kobs, Amy (Ted) Peterson, Michelle (Josh) Woldt, and Jennifer (Charles) Johns, great-grandchildren; Jasmine and Alec Boswell, Skylar Kobs, Damion Potter, Emma Flink, Alex, Willem, and Finn Peterson, Gavin Cummings, Kaitlin and Brantley Woldt, Hudson, Camden, and Chase Johns. She is also survived by her brother, Gerald Grimes, and many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Family and friends may gather at Valley Funeral Home, 2211 N. Richmond St. Appleton, WI on Saturday, July 1, 2023 from 9:00am until 10:45am with a service officiated by Pastor Tim Seabaugh to follow at 11:00am. Burial will take place in Ellington Union Cemetery in the Town of Ellington.
