Dover-Foxcroft - Jean A. Macomber, 93, passed away September 12, 2025, with her family by her side. She left this world truly loved. Jean was born March 22, 1932, in Presque Isle, the daughter of Vernon and Nellie (Case) Scott. She worked at Hathaway Shirt Co. for 26 years and also at Bishop Boarding Home.

Jean is survived by two sons, Scott Macomber and his wife, Brenda, and David Macomber and his wife, Dona; two daughters, Cathy Campbell and her partner, Dean Clark, all of Dover-Foxcroft, and Nancy Davis and her husband, Henry of Oregon; sister, Susan Goodine and husband, Dana, of Portland; brother, Robert Scott and wife, Eve, of Sweden; ten grandchildren; fourteen great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband, Clarence; three sisters, Judy, Verna, and Irene; and her eldest granddaughter, Tina.

The family wishes to thank everyone at Gentiva Hospice and Pine Tree Hospice for their compassionate care during this difficult time and to express their appreciation for Debbie Moore and the girls at Pleasant Meadow Estates.

At Jean's request, there will not be any services. Burial will be in the family lot in the Dover Cemetery. Arrangements are in the care of the Lary Funeral Home. Messages of condolence and memories may be expressed at www.laryfuneralhome.com.
