Mrs Macri was one of my teacher's in 6th grade in Hartford back in 1987. I remember she and Ann were both tough but seeing the person I grew up to be and the the way teachers help in that process, that's something I'm very grateful for. I've often though of the two of them throughout the years and am saddened to hear that Jean has passed when I once again thought of her tonight and decided to google her. I still have an image in my head of her smile when teaching is how to remember which is which - dessert; desert. My condolences to her family and Ann.
