Jean E. Mann, 82, of West Pittsburg, passed away peacefully Wednesday morning, September 24, 2025, in UPMC Shadyside Hospital, Pittsburgh, PA.

Mrs. Mann was born August 12, 1943, in Conneaut, OH, a daughter of the late Carlton L. and Mary Alice (Whiting) Gee. Jean was a 1961 graduate of Conneaut (OH) High School.

A homemaker, Jean had many talents, particularly cooking and baking. She made wedding cakes out of her home for nearly 50 years.

Jean was an active member of the Holy Spirit Parish of New Castle – St. Vitus Church, and formerly St. Vincent de Paul, where she often made weekly meals for the priest and could often be found volunteering in the kitchen for many parish fundraisers.

She married the love of her life, Richard A. Mann, on March 6, 1965, and he preceded her in death on June 21, 2016.

Jean is survived by a daughter, Lu Cinda Tenney, of Winchester, VA; two sons, Kevin Mann, of New Castle, and Brian Mann (Michele), of Ellwood City; six grandchildren, Brian Mann, Jr., Anthony (Shelby) and Miah Mann, Kristen Wharry, Trilene Wisbith and Mary Lent (Ethan); four great-grandchildren, Lucas, Annalyn, Matteo, and A.J.; a sister, Florence Lowe; a brother, Thomas Gee (Sue); and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her husband and parents, Jean was preceded in death by a brother, Don Gee.

Calling hours will be 4 to 7 p.m. on Friday (9-26-25) in J. Bradley McGonigle Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., 111 W. Falls St., New Castle.

Mass of Christian Burial will be 9 a.m. Saturday (9-27-25) in St. Vitus Church, 910 S. Mercer St., New Castle, with Rev. Aaron Kriss, as celebrant.

Interment will follow in St. Lucy Cemetery, Mahoningtown.
