Jean A. Mistretta of Malden passed away on Tuesday, May 27, 2025. She was 66 years old. Born in Boston, she was the cherished daughter of the late Sebastiano and Marion (Balboni) Mistretta.
Jean was a long time employee for Stop and Shop Supermarket in Medford, working as a cashier. She was a dedicated Boston Red Sox fan, enjoyed her many trips to Walt Disney World in Florida and loved listening to Elvis Presley music. Her true love and dedication were to her family, especially her nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews. She would spoil them whenever she could.
Jean is survived by her twin sister Rose Byrne and her husband Richard of Walpole, Diane Mistretta of Malden and Joan LoBrutto and her late husband John of Medford. She was the devoted aunt to Chris, Linda, Robert, Jessica, Caitlin and Samantha and great-aunt to Jasper, Siobhan, Brynn, and Isla.
Visiting hours will be held on Thursday, May 29th from 5-8 PM in the Dello Russo Funeral Home, 306 Main St., Medford, and again on Friday, May 30th at 9 AM followed by a funeral Mass in St. Francis of Assisi Church, 441 Fellsway West, Medford, at 10 AM. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Interment will be private.
In lieu of flowers, contributions in her memory may be made to NuPath Inc. 147 New Boston St. Woburn, MA. 01801.
