Jean Peacock Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Vessey Funeral Service - Fort Collins on Nov. 26, 2024.
Jean Marie Peacock passed away peacefully on November 23, 2024, at Pathways Hospice Center in Fort Collins, Colorado. Jean was born in Yonkers, New York, on November 20, 1950, to John Jacob (Jack) Biebel and Mary Josephine Power, the younger of two children.
Jean was raised in Yonkers and graduated from Blessed Sacrament Academy. After graduating from high school, she travelled by herself cross-county, eventually settling in Florida, where she became a nurse and graduated with a BSN from Thomas University.
Jean married Albert Peacock, Jr., on March 17, 1979. Together, they raised their sons Christopher and Tyler while Jean worked at Broward Health Medical Center. After Al's death, she continued to travel, working as a concierge at campgrounds across the country and as an usher in several Charlestown, South Carolina, theaters.
Jean was an adventurer at heart, and her many interests included travel, theater, music, reading and exercise. She loved a good challenge, as evidenced by earning a private pilot's license, learning to sail, and learning to drive and park a large RV that she drove across the country.
Jean is survived by her son Christopher Peacock (Jessica) and grandchildren Austin and Ocean of South Carolina; son Tyler Peacock of Colorado; sister-in-law Mary Gail Biebel of New York; and niece Kathleen Biebel and great-nephew and great-niece Sam and Claire Agerbak of Massachusetts, along with many cousins.
She was pre-deceased by her husband, parents, and brother John Joseph (Jack) Biebel.
