Jean H. Phillips, 64, of Port Charlotte, Florida, passed away peacefully on November 11, 2025.

Jean was a beloved mother, grandmother, sister, and partner. She was preceded in death by her partner, Steve Fox, and her parents, Jerald Gustafson and Nancy Maddox.

She is survived by her children, Brandi Phillips and Matthew Phillips; grandchildren, Aiden T. Jones and Macaela M Kemper; and siblings, Vicki Moisio, Candace W. Bennington, Judy Rogers, Jerri Lynn, and Danielle Phillips.

Throughout her life, she demonstrated incredible resilience and courage-never afraid to reinvent herself. She took pride in her ability to start over, learn something new, work hard to provide for her children, and build a life she could be proud of. She was a proud member of Cleveland local Teamsters 507 and had been a casino dealer and Gem jeweler.

Outside of work, she had a lifelong love for animals and was deeply involved in anything dog related, including training, agility, and dock diving. Most recently, she worked at Bratty Paws training dogs.

Those who knew Jean would remember her for her energy, humor, and her love for dogs.

A celebration of Jean's life will be held at the BUSCH FUNERAL HOME, 7501 RIDGE ROAD, PARMA FROM 4:00 PM-6:00 PM, TUESDAY, NOVEMBER 18, 2025. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Multiple Breed Rescue Farms in her honor.
