Jean Pierre Nzabahimana – Biraza, 45, of Houston,Texas, passed away on September 8, 2025. His death was sudden and tragic. Peter was born on September 28, 1979 in Rwanda (Mukura - Rutsiro) to Edith Nyirabagenzi and Emmanuel Baragengana. Peter was the 7th child of 10 children in his family. He is survived by his mother Edith Nyirabagenzi, his wife Julienne Munganyinka, his three children Ivan Alix Bineza, Dylan Gift Ashimwe and Kaze Biraza Irie, his siblings, Marthe, Faustin, Desire, Oscar, Angelique, Theogene and Joseph, as well as numerous cousins, nieces and nephews, aunts, uncles who cherished him deeply.

He was baptized on December 25, 1994 and married on December 12, 2015. He was a loving father, a brave man, and an honest, understanding soul. He was admired for his intelligence, kindness, and generosity. Always supportive, he cared deeply for his family and for anyone fortunate enough to be around him.

Born and raised in Rwanda, Peter distinguished himself early in life as the only child of his promotion in the community to pass the Primary National Examination and advance to high school. His commitment to education led him further to college of Technology and later to university, where he earned a Bachelor's Degree in Business Information Technology from Mount Kenya University. His dedication and skills led him to work for several industries in Rwanda as a mechanical engineer and later became Instructor in Mechanical Engineering Department and Head of Section for Air Conditioning at Kicukiro College of Technology.

In August 2019, Peter fulfilled one of his dreams by moving his family to the United States through the Green Card program. Never one to shy away from hard work, he obtained a commercial truck driving license and later trained as a Correctional Officer with the Texas Department of Criminal Justice.

Tragically, Peter's life was cut short at age 45, shortly after completing his Correctional Officer Training and starting his desired job. He collapsed at home, was rushed to the hospital, and despite undergoing surgery and receiving intensive care for few days, he passed away with his wife by his side.

Peter leaves behind his devoted wife Julienne Munganyinka, two sons Dylan Gift Ashimwe and Kaze Biraza Irie in the United States, and his eldest son Ivan Alix Bineza in Rwanda. His passing is an immeasurable loss to his family and all who knew him. His legacy of courage, perseverance, and big-hearted love will remain in the hearts of his family and friends forever.

May his soul rest in eternal peace.
