Jean Posey, born on April 6, 1934, in Detroit, Michigan, passed away peacefully at her home in Denham Springs, Louisiana on March 16, 2026. She lived a full life, surrounded by those she loved and cherished.
Jean was a devoted mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She found great joy in spending time with her family and friends. Throughout her life, the memories of her family were some of her most treasured.
Jean is survived by her children: Darlene Jones Picou, Dennis J. Jones, Barbara Jones Vicknair, and Lucille Jones Guitrau. She also leaves behind eight grandchildren and twelve great-grandchildren, who meant the world to her. Her brother, James Pepiton, and many nieces and nephews also carry on her memory.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Marguerite Ellington Pepitone, and her father, James Percy Pepitone, three sisters, and one brother, her son, Donald Jones Jr., and grandson, Kevin Jones.
A service to celebrate Jean's life will be celebrated at a future date.
