Sharon Mancuso

With profound love and deep sorrow, we announce the passing of our beloved Sharon Mancuso, who left this earthly world on March 14th, 2026, at 77 years old. Born on September 30th, 1948, in New Orleans, Louisiana, a proud Libra, she embodied the sign’s grace, creativity, and deep desire for harmony. Drawn to what lay beyond the visible world - deeply spiritual and grounded in her faith, she studied astrology, the I Ching, and once read tarot cards with an intuition that made people feel seen, understood, and comforted. She moved through life guided by the stars and forever connected to something bigger and meaningful.

 Sharon’s journey took her far beyond her hometown; she refused to be boxed in. A true visionary, she was way ahead of her time - pushing artistic boundaries, embracing creativity, and expressing herself in ways the world wasn’t always ready to understand. She lived boldly, long before such freedom was celebrated. Her originality was not a phase; it was her essence. She attended Texas Christian University, later spent time in Boston, and eventually found her way to New York, drawn to the vibrant pulse of the city. She bartended, worked in clubs, performed as a singer, and worked as a dental assistant.

 She was a true social butterfly, energized by people and the connections that made her feel alive. For her, human connection was a kind of magic, and she sought it out everywhere she went.Her life was filled with stories - real stories, wild stories, unforgettable stories. She could talk for days about her time as a body double in a James Bond movie, her memories of being at Woodstock, her nights performing and working in New York clubs, and countless other adventures. Each story was told with a sparkle in her eye and a flair only she possessed.And oh, how she loved anything Creole - crawfish boils, king cakes, po’ boys, gumbo, and every flavor that reminded her of home. New Orleans wasn’t just where she was born; it was the rhythm in her step, the warmth in her smile, and the soul in her stories.She was a free spirit in every sense, beautiful inside and out. A dreamer. An artist. A woman who believed fiercely in love and in God.

 Her heart was generous beyond measure; she gave to others long before she ever thought of herself, and that same tenderness extended to every animal she loved. Yet if you asked her what her greatest accomplishment was, she would answer without hesitation: becoming a mother and grandmother. She always said it was the best thing she ever did. Her love for her family was boundless, steady, and unconditional.As she grew older, Bible study became an important part of her life. Her faith deepened, not in place of her mystical curiosity, but alongside it - another way she sought meaning, comfort, and connection with something greater than herself.Sharon was stronger than she ever knew or gave herself credit for. Her resilience ran deep, quiet, steady, and unwavering - even when life tested her more than she deserved. Though life was not always easy, she never stopped believing in love and in the good in people.She leaves behind a legacy of creativity, compassion, laughter, and love - a legacy carried forward by her family, friends, and the lives she touched simply by being herself.She will be missed beyond words and remembered beyond measure.
