Jean A. Quartararo, a beacon of love and kindness, passed away peacefully on January 23, 2025, at the age of 95, in Lakewood Township. Born on June 6, 1929, in the Bronx, NY, Jean's life was a filled with devotion to her family, a strong work ethic, and an unwavering spirit of generosity.
Jean, known affectionately to all simply as Jean, was the cherished matriarch of the Quartararo family. She shared an extraordinary life with her beloved spouse, Albert, to whom she was married for an impressive 75 years. Their enduring love was the foundation of a family that includes two sons, Albert Quartararo, Jr., and Lawrence Quartararo and her dear sister Nancy Weissman. Jean's love and legacy will continue to flourish through them, her eight grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren and the memories they hold dear.
Jean was a woman of remarkable strength and grace, having been preceded in death by her father Ignacio Cannistraro, her mother Grace Pagano, and her treasured daughter Linda Quartararo. Despite these losses, Jean's heart remained a wellspring of loving-kindness, always finding the capacity to give more to those around her.
Professionally, Jean was a talented seamstress, a career that not only showcased her skill and creativity but also reflected her nature and the pride she took in her work
Jean's interests were simple yet profound: her family was her world. She invested her time, energy, and love into creating a home that was a haven of thoughtfulness and care. Those who knew Jean would describe her as the epitome of loving, kind, and thoughtful-the very qualities that she effortlessly embodied every day.
Jean's life was a testament to the beauty of a life well-lived and the impact one person can have on so many. Her gentle smile and nurturing ways will be deeply missed but will continue to inspire all who were fortunate enough to know her.
As the Quartararo family mourns the loss of their beloved Jean, they also celebrate the rich and beautiful life she led. Her spirit, a guiding light of love, will forever be cherished and remembered by those who loved her. A Memorial Service will be planned in the future. Arrangements are under the care and supervision of Silverton Memorial Funeral Home, Toms River.
