Jean J. Risk

Jean J. Risk, 90, of Quarryville, entered into rest on Friday, October 24, 2025, at her home. Born in Peach Bottom, she was the daughter of the late Horace and Mary (Weaver) Jackson. She was the loving wife of Richard C. Risk for over 69 years.
In her younger years, Jean worked at Watt and Shand and had been a secretary at Bainbridge Naval Base. She also did clerical work and helped manage her husband's construction business. Jean enjoyed local history, collecting dolls, traveling to Williamsburg, and spending time at the beach house in Charlestown, MD. She was a member of Farm Women #21 and an active life-member of Little Britain Presbyterian Church.
Jean is survived by her sons, Barry, husband of Laurie Risk and Daniel Risk; 5 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren. Also surviving are siblings: Bill Jackson, Joanne Weaver, and Doris Spickler. She was preceded in death by a sister, Betty Ramsey.
A Memorial Service will take place at Little Britain Presbyterian Church, 255 Little Britain Rd., Peach Bottom, PA on Saturday, November 8, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. The family will greet friends at the church from 10-11 a.m. Traditional interment will be private in the adjoining cemetery.
