Jean Simone, a beloved sister, aunt, and friend, passed away peacefully on August 5, 2025, in Chesapeake, Virginia, at the age of 89. Born in Hempstead, New York, Jean was the cherished daughter of the late Bronislaw Plawski and Pearl Bier.

Jean shared 57 wonderful years of marriage with her devoted husband, John Simone, who preceded her in death in 2014. Their bond was a testament to enduring love and partnership, filled with shared laughter and unwavering support.

Jean dedicated many years to a successful career as a manager at Verizon, where her leadership and dedication left a lasting impact. She retired in 1994, leaving behind a legacy of professionalism and a network of respected colleagues. In her younger years, Jean was known for her vibrant social life and cherished friendships. Her infectious enthusiasm and warm spirit drew people to her, and she will be fondly remembered for her boundless generosity, profound kindness, and the joyous sound of her laughter, which brightened the lives of all who knew her.

Jean's memory will be cherished by her loving brothers, Benjamin Plawski and Edward Plawski. She also leaves behind her adoring niece, Marie Plawski, and nephew, Gregory Plawski, along with numerous extended members of the Simone family, all of whom held a special place in her heart.
