Jean Smith Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Corless-Kunselman Funeral Services, LLC - Beaver Falls on Dec. 22, 2025.
After a remarkable and fulfilling 101 years, Jean Rebecca Smith passed away peacefully on December 15, 2025, surrounded by love.

Born on July 30, 1924, in Koppel, Pa., Jean lived a long and meaningful life defined by devotion to family, resilience, and grace. She witnessed more than a century of change and met each season of life with strength, wisdom, and quiet dignity.

Jean was a devoted mother to her three children, Thomas, Linda, and Beverly. She was a proud grandmother to her two grandchildren, Erin and Lyndsey, and a cherished great-grandmother to seven great-grandchildren, Kira, Addison, Kennedy, Mason, Kevin, Parker and Piper - all of whom brought her immense joy. Her family was the center of her life, and her legacy lives on through the generations she nurtured and loved.

She was known for her kindness and generosity, and for the steady presence she provided to those around her. She was always the first we would come to for knowledge of past history and events and constantly amazed the family with her unique ability and candid memory. Her unconditional love will be deeply missed and fondly remembered.

Jean was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas L. Smith; son, Thomas D. Smith; parents, Jesse E. and Mary S. Watson; sisters, Mary J. Bates and Helen L. Kusnerik and other loved ones. She is survived by her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and extended family.

A Catholic Burial Mass will be celebrated on December 27, 2025, at 10:00am in St. Monica Church and Interment will follow at St. Mary's Catholic Cemetery - both located in Chippewa Township.
