Jean M. Spezzafero – age 93, died peacefully Thursday, August 21 at the Winchester Rehabilitation and Nursing Center after a long illness surrounded by her loving family.

She was born in Boston, February 1, 1932, a daughter of the late Vincent F. and Mildred A. (Mahoney) Spezzafero and lived in N. Cambridge and moved to Billerica 28 years ago.

Jean was employed in the Sales Office at the former Woolworth Department Store in Boston and later worked at Kohl's. She was everyone's Auntie Jean and loved helping people.

She is survived by her sister Janet Devlin and her husband Edward of Billerica. Also by her nieces and nephews, Lisa Devlin of Billerica, Jeanmarie Cottle and Paul of East Harwich, James Devlin and Deborah of Billerica, Scott Spezzafero of Sudbury, Stephen Devlin and Heather of Burlington, David Devlin of Tewksbury and Thomas Devlin of Billerica and many grand nieces and nephews. She was the sister of the late Alexander Spezzafero and Doris Spezzafero and sister-in-law of the late Norma Spezzafero.

A visitation will be held Thursday, August 28 at the Sweeney Memorial Funeral Home, 66 Concord Rd., Billerica from 10 a.m. – 12 p.m. A Funeral Mass will be held at St. Matthew the Evangelist Parish at St. Theresa Church, 466 Boston Rd., Billerica at 12:30 p.m. Her burial will take place at North Cambridge Catholic Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made in Jean's name to the Alzheimer's Association, www.alz.org
