Jean Wilson, 82, of Paris Crossing, passed away on Saturday evening, December 10, 2022, in her home surrounded by loved ones.
Born December 6, 1940, in Indianapolis, she was the daughter of Raymond and Martha (Singleton) Pedigo. She married Floyd E. "Bud" Wilson on June 4, 1960, at Fairfax Christian Church in Indianapolis, he preceded her in death on March 30, 2022.
Jean was a 1959 graduate of Washington High School in Indianapolis and retired in 1988 as the manager of the Foreclosure Department for Lomas and Nettleton Mortgage Company in Dallas, Texas after 15 years. She was a member of United Christian Church in Paris Crossing where she played an active role in several groups and committees, including the Ladies Circle. Before coming to Paris Crossing, she also was a member of the Flying Night Owls Women's Bowling League in Lafayette. She enjoyed travel (especially cruising), fishing, bowling, cooking, baking, going to the casino, entertaining, and playing cards with family and friends.
Survivors include her children, Paula (Morton) Imamura of Lafayette, Robert "Bobby" (Shannon) Wilson of Grand Island, Florida, and Carol Hill of Gunter, Texas; brothers, Larry (Harmonie) Roth, of Indianapolis, Daniel (Cynthia) Roth of Anchorage, Alaska & Jon Pedigo of Pacifica, California; sisters, Linda Clarke of North Vernon, Donna (Dan) Kendall, and Rebecca (Roy) Sword, both of Indianapolis; grandchildren, Christina (Richard) Watt of Colfax, John (Jessica) Black of Glendale, Arizona, Michael Black and Brandon Wilson, both of Lafayette, Eric (Maria) Imamura of Columbia, South Carolina, Trystin Wilson of Nashville, Tennessee, and Logan Hill of Gunter, Texas; and great-grandchildren, Trey Black, Heaven Watt, Sybil Watt, R. Isaac Watt, Carolyn Watt, Rachel Watt, Angel Stetler, Angelina Black, Damien Black, Dinah Imamura, Raiden Imamura, and Nixen Black.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, and a brother, Lee Michael Pedigo.
A funeral service for Jean will be held at 2:30 p.m. Friday, December 16, 2022, at the United Christian Church in Paris Crossing, with the Pastor Damon Marling officiating. A visitation for family and friends will be held from 1:00 p.m. until the time of the service on Friday. Arrangements are being handled by Dove-Sharp & Rudicel Funeral Home and Cremation Service in North Vernon.
Memorials may be made in honor of Jean through the funeral home to the United Christian Church Youth Fund.
