Jean Wilson Obituary
Jean was born October 7, 1950 in Potsdam, the daughter of the late Charles and Geraldine (Russell) LaBar. She was a graduate of Parishville-Hopkinton Central School. On October 3, 1970, she married Lloyd W. Wilson in Hopkinton.
Jean worked for time at SUNY Potsdam and at a sewing factory in Pennsylvania before starting a 20-year employment with Potsdam Laundry. Jean was an avid lover of outdoor activities with hunting, fishing, and camping being her greatest enjoyments. She also enjoyed bowling and playing softball – playing until she was 64.
Jean is survived by her loving husband, Lloyd; her stepchildren, Lloyd "Mitch" (Jackie) Wilson of Ohio, LaDonna Wilson (Corey Planty) of Parishville, Charlene (Brent) Bailey of Parishville, and Chandra Wilson of Fulton; 6 grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren, and 2 great-great grandchildren. She is also survived by two sisters, her twin, Joan Huto of Parishville and Susan (Gus) Wood of Hopkinton; and many nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by a sister, Janet Fuller; and two brothers, Charles and Michael LaBar.
A celebration of her life will be held at her home on June 6th beginning at 1:00 PM. There will be no prior calling hours or services.
Memorial contributions may be made in her memory to the Potsdam Humane Society.
