Jeane G. (Cournoyer) Pimental, 95, of New Bedford, MA and formerly of Acushnet, MA passed away on May 2, 2025, at the CareOne at New Bedford. She was the wife of the late John R. Pimental to whom she was married on May 3, 1951.
Born in Oak Bluffs, MA on December 11, 1929, she was the daughter of the late Edward Cournoyer and the late Mary (Campos) Cournoyer. She was raised and educated in Tisbury where she was a 1947 graduate of the high school.
In earlier years, Mrs. Pimental was employed as a beautician on Martha's Vineyard and later in New Bedford, MA. Later for 18 years, she was employed as a cafeteria worker at the Acushnet Elementary School.
She leaves two sons: f Jeffrey Pimental of New Bedford, MA and Gary Pimental in Hawaii; 3 grandchildren and 1 great grandchildren.
Mrs. Pimental was the sister of George, Donald, Edward, Francis, Frederick and Charles Cournoyer.
