Jeane Rogers Obituary
Jeno was born with a warm spirit and a generous heart, living a life defined by kindness, resilience, and deep devotion to the people around him. Those who knew him will remember him as a steady, loving presence whose compassion, humor, and warmth touched everyone he met.
A dedicated and hardworking man, Jeno spent 42 years with the Board of Public Utilities (BPU) in Kansas City, Kansas, where he was respected for his strong work ethic, reliability, and the lasting friendships he formed over decades of service.
Outside of his long career, Jeno found great joy in fishing, storytelling, grilling on his pontoon with family and friends, and his involvement in AA. Whether casting a line on a peaceful morning, sharing a story that brought laughter to everyone around him, firing up the grill out on the water, or offering support and encouragement to others in recovery, he touched lives in genuine and meaningful ways.
Jeno is survived by his loving wife, Paula, his sister, Jeanette Roberts, his son, Curt, and his grandchildren and great-grandchildren, all of whom will continue to honor his memory and the values he instilled in them. He was preceded in death by his beloved son, Bret, and his loving brother, John Rogers.
A Celebration of Life for Jeno will be held on Thursday, February 26, from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Victory Hills Church of the Nazarene (6200 Parallel Parkway) in Kansas City, KS. Friends and family are invited to attend, share memories, and honor the remarkable life he lived.
Jeno will be remembered for his warmth, his kindness, and the love he gave so freely. His presence will be deeply missed, but his spirit will live on in the hearts of all who knew him.

So sorry to hear of Jeno's passing. I remember one of his sayings was, ..get off the cross,we need the wood!... He had a sense of humor and was very kind. My heart goes out to you Paula,and his son and grandkids. " and may the perpetual light shine upon him.".
