Jeanene M. Larcom, 85, passed away on Sunday, December 24, 2023, in Kingman Kansas surrounded by her family. Jeanene was born March 30, 1938, in Great Bend Kansas to parents Lee Otto and Alma (Hall) Chaffee. She and Gary Larcom were married on April 21, 1961, and celebrated a loving 62 years of marriage. Jeanene studied fashion design at Arizona University. Her career started with being the homemaker for 13 years, then was being a secretary working for Rincon High School in Tucson, Arizona, and Schlumberger. Jeanene moved to Wichita in 1977 where she worked for the United Methodist Church, and Annastesia Consulting Services, after retirement she loved to help at Blessed Beginnings Preschool.
Jeanene was a strong Christian woman, who loved spending time with her family and most of all her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She enjoyed sewing and was quite famous for her quillows, making many as keepsakes for her family.
Jeanene is preceded in death by her parents, Brothers Harold and Harry Chaffee, and Great-Granddaughter Ellowyn Marie Singer. She is survived by her loving husband Gary, Children David (Connie) Larcom, Linda (Ron) March, Alison (Derek) Kreager, and Kevin (Angela) Larcom, Grandchildren Kenny (Michelle) Larcom, Stephanie Singer, Marcus (Veronica) Larcom, Jimmy (Amanda) March, Makayla(Scott) Larcom, Tanner (Michelle) Lambky, Brydan (Alexia) Akin and Kruse Kreager and 10 Great-Grandchildren.
Funeral Services will be held, Friday, December 29, 2023, at 3 PM at DeVorss Flanagan-Hunt Mortuary Chapel located at 201 S. Hydraulic Ave, Wichita KS, 67211. Burial will take place at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, memorials can be donated to The Wheatland Health Care TLC Unit, located at 750 W. Washington, Kingman, KS 67068.
