Jeanett Bowden was born on September 3, 1938 in Hardin County, Tennessee, the daughter of the late Robert and Euthea Francis Smith Hollins.
On June 15, 1957, she was united in marriage to Loyd Worley Bowden, who preceded his wife in death on August 25, 1994.
Mrs. Bowden worked as a seamstress in several garment factories, including Garan Manufacturing and US Apparel. She attended Baptist and First Full Gospel churches. Jeanett enjoyed working in her yard, quilting, fishing, sewing, and making curtains. She loved her grandchildren and enjoyed spending time with them.
Jeanett Bowden departed this life on December 22, 2023 in Shiloh, Tennessee at the age of 85 years, 3 months, and 19 days.
She is survived by her daughters, Charlotte Collier of Shiloh, Tennessee and Debbie Riley and her husband Steve of Ramer, Tennessee; 7 grandchildren; 9 great grandchildren; and 1 great great grandchild.
In addition to her parents and husband, Jeanett was preceded in death by her son, Michael Bowden; daughter, Beverly Moore; sisters, Diane Borden and Patricia White; and brother, William Hollins.
