Jeanetta Kaye Sanders, 83, of Hardyville passed away unexpectedly, at her home on Tuesday November 11, 2025.
She was the daughter of the late Clay Trent and the late Adrine Lane Trent.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 45 years, Charles Sanders and her brother Kerry Trent.
Jeanetta retired from Memorial Elementary School, after 32 years of dedicated custodial work, where she was loved by the faculty, staff, and students.
She was a die-hard and devoted University of Kentucky sports fan. Basketball, baseball, softball, football, and volleyball. She loved them all.
Jeanetta, better known as Mammaw to many, welcomed everyone into her home, treated all with kindness and love, never forgot to send out birthday cards, and she never let anyone leave her home with an empty stomach.
But her greatest love was for her children, grandchildren, and her church.
She and her late husband were founding members of Pleasant View United Baptist Church, where she remained a faithful member until the Lord called her home.
She is survived by 3 children:
Teresa Ann Estes (Junior) of Cave City. Barry Charles Sanders (Diane) of Hardyville. Karen Leigh Huff of Hardyville.
7 grandchildren:
Brandi Estes, Matthew Estes, Beth Ann Estes, Robbie Bennett, Patrick Bennett, Jerred Bennett (Alyssa), and Jonathan Sanders.
7 great grand children:
Jordyn Sanderson, Briley Sanderson, Connor Ray, Kennedy Horton, Courtlyn Murley, Phoenix Murley, Emma Jo Bennett, and Jett Bennett.
2 great-great grand children:
Emery Jade Childress and Waylon Oak Henry.
A special nephew, Chris Trent.
She is also survived by a host of nieces, nephews, close friends, and an extended church family.
The world is just not as bright without her in it.
The family will welcome friends from 2:00- 8:00 PM on Friday, November 14, 2025 at Brooks Funeral Home and again from 10:00 AM- 1:00 PM CT on Saturday, November 15, 2025 at Pleasant View United Baptist Church.
