Greene Funeral Service & Crematorium - South ChapelIt is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Jeanette Almond, who left us on November 16, 2025, at the age of 88. Born on July 14, 1937, in York County, South Carolina, Jeanette spent her life bringing joy to those around her. A proud Clover, SC resident, she was known for her warm smile and loving spirit.
Jeanette devoted many years to her work in the packing industry at Stanley Home Products, but her true passions were found in the simple pleasures of life. She loved escaping to the mountains and the beach, where she found peace and happiness in nature. In her younger days, you might have spotted her bailing hay, a task she tackled with strength and determination.
An avid fan of jigsaw puzzles, card games, and board games, she cherished moments spent with her family playing these games. She also had a green thumb, nurturing her vegetable garden and sharing the fruits of her labor with loved ones.
Jeanette is survived by her three sons, Alan Almond (Kimberly), Randy Almond (Penny), and Chris Almond (Betty Wix); grandchildren, Justin Almond (Ashlyn), Emalee Forbes (Stephen), Jenna Proto (Michael), Megan Almond, Will Almond, and Andrew Almond; great grandchildren, Natalee Dupont, Benjamin Dupont, Caroline Forbes, Harper Almond, Theodore Forbes, and Deacon Almond. She will be deeply missed by her family and all who knew her.
Jeanette was preceded in death by her husband, HC Almond; parents, Grady and Gladys Deal; sister, Patricia Deal.
A graveside service will be held at Sandy Plains Church Cemetery on Thursday, November 20, 2025, at 11:00 AM, where Jeanette will be reunited with her husband to rest. Friends and family are invited to join us in remembering her life and celebrating the love she shared.
