Obituary
Jeanette Marie Berk
October 6, 1961 – December 2, 2025
Jeanette Marie Berk, 64, passed away at the Billings Clinic on December 2, 2025, after a short battle with colon cancer.
Jeanette was born on October 6, 1961, in Saginaw, Michigan, to Gerald Lyston and Loma Mae (Reeves) Kellogg. She was raised in Saginaw, where she worked hard from a young age and graduated from Bridgeport Academy. She began her family early in life and was blessed with four children, Carl, Ireane, Eric and LaShauna. Determined to provide for them, Jeanette held multiple jobs over the years-always doing whatever it took to make sure her children had a roof over their heads. Her strong work ethic and unshakable spirit meant she refused to let anyone intimidate her.
In 1991, Jeanette moved her children to Worland for a fresh start and to be closer to family. It was here that she met the love of her life, Steven Berk. The two married on August 7, 1999, and through this union she welcomed a stepdaughter, Amber, whom she loved as her own. As her family grew, Jeanette became affectionately known as "Aunt Skinny," a name that captured the humor and warmth she brought into every room.
Jeanette worked for several businesses throughout Worland, always giving 100% and expecting the same from those around her. You always knew where you stood with her. She believed in hard work, but she also believed in having fun-often with a little inappropriate humor and sometimes with a beer in hand to make the job more bearable.
She was an avid collector of anything that caught her eye-plants, rocks she picked up on hikes, wind chimes, and Christmas decorations. She loved repurposing items and had a knack for finding beauty in the unique and unusual. Jeanette's bright, vibrant personality often showed through in her clothing, especially her love of colorful tie-dyed shirts. She was spunky, stubborn, upbeat, and had a huge heart. She cared for people deeply, treating everyone as if they were one of her own. She always had time-at least five minutes-to sit, listen, and visit with anyone who needed a friend.
Jeanette was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Steve; sisters, Dyanne Fauver, Carol Barajas Kellogg, and Debra Paepke; brothers, William Kellogg and Kenny Kellogg and grandson, Logan Kellogg.
She is survived by her sons, Carl Kellogg of Michigan and Eric Kellogg of Worland; her daughters, Ireane Kellogg and LaShauna Kellogg, both of Worland; and her stepdaughter, Amber (Josh) Bear of Casper, Wyoming; sister, Kathy (James) Boswell of Williamston, Kentucky; as well as 14 grandchildren who were the light of her life.
A Celebration of Life will be held at 10:00 AM on Monday, December 8, 2025, at the Worland Community Center Complex. Please wear vibrant/ bright colors in honor of Jeanette.
