Jeanette L. Bonito

Jeanette L. (Millette) Bonito, 92, of Newington, passed away peacefully on Monday, December 2, 2024 at her home. She was the beloved wife of the late Vito J. Bonito. Born in Tewsbury, MA, daughter of the late John and Annette (Millette) Zuerblis, she was a Newington resident for 58 years and parishioner of St. Mary's Church. Jeanette retired from Traveler's Insurance Company in 1991 after 20 years of employment. She enjoyed traveling and camping with her family and friends. She was dedicated to attending her children and grandchildren's sporting events and activities, especially the games where her son was coaching. Jeanette also enjoyed sewing and cake decorating. Above all, she loved her children and grandchildren. She leaves her four children, Anthony and his wife Malinda of South Windsor, Sandi Dolin-Ostrowski of Berlin, Michelle Royer and her husband Ken of Newington, and Andrea Callahan and Joe Casertano of Newington, and five grandchildren, John-Vito, Mike and his wife Jenna, Matt, Eric and Kimberly and her fiancé Jake, and great grandchild Cody Matthew Gagnon. She also leaves her sister Joyce Cyr of Newington, her sister-in-law Connie Zuerblis of Newington, best friends Paul and Jan Pace of Newington and many nieces, nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by her sisters Patricia Zuerblis and Priscilla Zawisza and her brother William Zuerblis, and her husband's siblings, Rose Valente, Grace Lewis, Joe Bonito and Anthony Bonito. Her family wishes to thank Elizabeth and her son Adrian and Hartford Healthcare at Home for their care and support. Relatives and friends are invited to call on Thursday, December 5th from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm at Duksa Family Funeral Homes at Newington Memorial, 20 Bonair Ave. Newington. Her funeral service will begin on Friday, December 6th at 9:00 a.m. at the funeral home, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 a.m. at St. Mary's Church, Newington. She will be laid to rest beside her husband in West Meadow Cemetery, Newington.
